Every Wednesday around 10:20 a.m., one adoptable pet from the Darlington County Humane Society is featured as Pet of the Week on 94.7 The Hog. During the segment, we share the pet’s story, personality, and what makes them special — all with the goal of helping them find a loving forever home.

Nick Cannon is a 2 year old, 33.8lb, heartworm positive, handsome fella. He’s a nice small to medium guy with the best smile, most impressive ears, and attractive black and white coat. He is a good boy that plays well with other dogs, walks on leash, and takes treats so gently. At first introduction, he needs just a moment to feel safe, then he's attentive to his people, ready for belly rubs, and happy to play. Don't let his heartworm status give you pause. We will provide the treatment, you provide the happy home. Nick Cannon enjoyed his radio debut, representing all black and brindle coated shelter friends, reminding you to not overlook them.
