Every Wednesday around 10:20 a.m., one adoptable pet from the Darlington County Humane Society is featured as Pet of the Week on 94.7 The Hog. During the segment, we share the pet’s story, personality, and what makes them special — all with the goal of helping them find a loving forever home.

This weekly feature is proudly sponsored by Purrs McBarkin, whose support helps give our animals added visibility in the community. The featured pet remains available for adoption through our standard process, and we always encourage potential adopters to visit the shelter and meet them in person.

Our current Pet of the Week is Chastity!

Meet Chastity! She is the snuggliest, sweetest, and most social little kitty cat you’ve been missing from your life. She wants nothing but to curl up right with you on your shoulder and nestle right in your neck and receive lots of pets and kisses. She purrs in your ear like she is telling you a secret of her great gratitude for loving her. Chastity is still a kitten at about 6 months old and although she may not have known family love before, having been found as a stray, she certainly knows how to give you the warmth of companionship as she bonds quickly to the person loving on her. Chastity has been around kids, and she did very nicely with them too! If you’re looking for an affectionate furfriend, come meet Chastity!
